The following introductory guide provides information on how to install the Astalegale Key which will then be useful for you when signing documents and accessing websites that require "strong" authentication for access. Digital Key installation for Windows

1. Install the token key drivers before inserting it into your computer. (The drivers must be installed to recognise both the SIM card and the token key device);

   1. Click here to download the SIM drivers for Windows;

   2. Enter the new downloaded folder and double click on the executable file for installation. Confirm the screens by clicking "Next" until the installation process is complete;

   3. Click here to download the token device for Windows;

   4. Enter the new downloaded folder and double click on the executable file for installation. Confirm the screens by clicking "Next" until the installation process is complete.

2. Reboot the Computer and then enter the digital signature token device and wait for full recognition.

How to install certificates on Firefox (Windows)

Open Firefox. From the "Tools" menu choose "Options".

Select the "Privacy and security" tab and click "Security devices".

Select the "Privacy and security" tab and click "Security devices".

Choose the "bit4ipki.dll" file in the folder C:\windows\system32 and click "Open".

Confirm by clicking "OK" on all screens.

How to install certificates on Firefox (MAC)

Open Firefox and select the "Preferences" menu.

Select "Advanced" – "Certificates" tab and click "Security devices".

Click "Upload" and then "Browse" to choose the file.

Choose the "libbit4xpki.dylib” file in the folder “Macintosh HD\system\Library\bit4id\pkcs11\" and click "Open".

Confirm by clicking "OK" on all screens.

How to install the ArubaSign signature software

The ArubaSign Software lets you sign your documents digitally:

1. Click here to download the signature software for Windows;

   Click here to download the signature software for Mac;

2. Confirm the installation screens by clicking "Next" until the process is complete.

How to sign a document digitally

Click "Sign".

Select the file you want to sign.

Enter the Pin in the "insert Pin" field and check that "cryptographic envelope P7M" is selected.

Check "I declare that I have read the document ..." and click "next".

At the end of the procedure, the message "Operation Completed" appears and the digitally signed file (P7M) is generated.
